If All the World Were Paper

If all the world were paper,
And all the sea were ink,
If all the trees
Were bread and cheese,
What should we have to drink?

History:

An Old English folk song dating back to the reign of Charles I (1600 – 1649) of England. The song that accompanies the rhyme is from the same era. Shirley Temple recorded a version of the song by the same name with extra lyrics.
