Little Boy Blue playing a horn and standing next to a little sheep

Little Boy Blue

Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn,
The sheep’s in the meadow, the cow’s in the corn.
Where is the boy who looks after the sheep?
He’s under a haycock, fast asleep.
Will you wake him? No, not I,
For if I do, he’s sure to cry.

History:

Little Boy Blue is thought to be that of Thomas Wolsey, a dominant figure in the government of King Henry VIII from 1515-1529.
